In Kansas, raw milk sales must be made on the farm and it must be between the dairyman and the consumer. The milk container must be labeled as "raw" or "unpasteurized-ungraded" milk. Raw milk can carry harmful bacteria like E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, which can lead to serious illness especially for children, pregnant women and those with weakened immune systems.
