The Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson has a host of traditions from Pronto Pups to Ye Old Mill. In 2025, the 10-day festival featuring fried foods, Ferris wheels and farm animals will also serve as a showcase for growers from Shop Kansas Farms (SKF).
SKF vendors from around the state will offer their homegrown goods in a booth sponsored by Kansas Farm Bureau, which purchased SKF because of its mission to connect consumers with local food producers across the state.
“We’re so grateful for the opportunity to continue finding ways to fulfill the mission of Shop Kansas Farms and highlight the diversity of Kansas agriculture,” says Kylee Stout, SKF business development director.
The growers will set up shop in the Pride of Kansas building where they will offer a variety of Kansas-made foods and other goodies, from salsas and jellies to fresh baked goods and Kansas beef. The booth will also serve as a recruiting center for new Farm Bureau Financial Services (FBFS) agents on select days.
